The 3 'starters' we ordered were wonderful ... taste, texture, temperature, and served by a very helpful young lady.
I had the bacon wrapped chicken special and it was very good. I do not like salmon and almost always one of the specials is salmon so I do not often get the special.

We were in the dining room not the bar. During our dining there was a person patching areas with mud. Several servers stopped to chat with the person. Also a different entrance to the kitchen is neede so bus people with dirty dishes from the bar don't pass thru the dining room.
The staff was very nice, good service, the food was great and the atmosphere was charming with antique photos and furniture. Several food options are available from $10 burgers to higher end dishes and A nice kids menu. There is a dining room as well as a sports bar. A place that truly has something for everyone!
The food and our server was of excellent quality. The reason I gave a Good is due to the Hostess sitting a Handicap person at the back of the dining room. When there were open tables by the door.

This is like 3 restaurants in one....an outdoor patio, a sports bar, and a quieter more formal area. Appropriate for many different dining out scenarios.
Need handicap access. Back door isn’t easy to maneuver nor door inside.

Great food and very interesting, peaceful surroundings in formal dining room. Tables in bar area are also available and there is seating in a very nice garden area weather permitting.
We waited 45 minutes to get a waitress to wait on our table. It was only after I caught Diane's attention and told her that we needed to be waited on that anyone helped us.
My wife’s steak was terrible fries were cold, my sandwich, the top piece of bread was stale with the consistency of a crouton and special order sweet potato fries were cold and over cooked

Almost all meals were very good except the BBQ ribs. While these are usually wonderful this night they were not cooked to the tender stage. Should not have been served. Two diners ordered them and were disappointed. One diner's steak had to be done 2 times. The server did a good job considering it was a large party (14) and she was probably working other tables, too. Bread and salads long time in coming. She was pleasant under pressure.
This was a group of 26 people for a birthday celebration. Dawn, the events coordinator, was a joy to work with. Her work made the party a pleasure, no hassles at all!

We enjoy the bar area of the Winter Inn. The service is great, you get free popcorn and it has a nice local feel to it.

Their prices are a little high for the food especially the Deserts. When you advertise Lobster Macaroni,I expect real Lobster not imitation.
We arrived at 4:00 and left at 6:30. Our food didn't arrive until after 5:30. The surf and turf was cold. The prime rib was 1/3 fat. The cheddar potatoes were over salty. Spinach salad was mediocre. The service was incredibly slow. We asked more than once to please bring refills on our beverages. The server was never visible so we could ask for bread.

Our food was tasty, cooked nicely to order. Wait staff was a little on the slow side, considering the relatively low head count in the restaurant, but still did a decent job. We all had a good time and enjoyed the food from appetizer to dessert.
Great food, good service. Waitress was glad to make a substitute on my surf and turf so I could have the Filet and King Crab Legs...were great! My wife got the Signature Walleye and liked it. It was a Tuesday night, so no too busy, so I can't comment about service if it was. Nice old time decor.

Our waitress was awesome! She was working alone , but was one of the best we ever had. She messed up a little, but we didn't say anything as she was alone. My fish dinner was way over done and my wife never got her baked potato. I could have sent the fish back, but then my wife would have been eating alone on her Birthday so I didn't complain and she loved the vegetables and said she didn't want me to complain to the waitress. As slow as the rest. was for a Monday I did expect better. My wife works next door at the Health store and I work for the Staffords here in Greenville so we will keep coming and keep you informed. We don't always use coupons, but I am glad we did last night.

The food was very good. We had a reservation but only 1 very poor table was left Dawn veryquickly found us a better one. Our waitress Denise took very good care of us. We were celebrating an anniversary, and the others had never been there. I used a $100 certificate. I wish I could get another one because we would go back quickly.

We ordered the baby back ribs and they were very good. They came clean off the bone but not falling off, very tender and not very spicy. Will be back again.

One of us got the ribs, and they were tough and not done. Every time we go to Winter Inn she gets the ribs, so she knows how tender they usually are. The waitress took them back, but the new ones weren't much better. My friend said she would cook them longer at home so she could eat them. The other food was fine.
The food was nice and hot, however the wrong meal came out and the server was already being nasty regarding a different matter. It felt like the server did not want to be there and it took over an hour for us to get our food. We have had the same problem with the same server many times that we have gone from weekly visits to once in awhile now. The lack of restaurants that are on the website makes our choices limited.
The fried shrimp was great. View of the water was very relaxing. Waitress was wonderful.

Usually the food is very good at Winter Inn. This meal was far from satisfactory, my sister's steak was of poor quality and not well prepared. My steak was better but both had been prepared some time before being served so were not hot. Baked potatoes were only warm, tartar sauce was served with them instead of sour cream, etc.

The food was not good. We have been here many times over the years and have liked their food. This time was not good. We were sadly disappointed. Burgers were burnt and small, chicken tough and roast beef was very fatty.

The food excellent but the service was poor. Did not receive salads till after the meal. Kids meals came after the adults and steaming hot. We sat with our dirty plates on the table about 20 minuts until we finally flagged the waitress down to tell her we were ready to leave. Since the food was good i would be willing to try it again.

normally I have a good experience at this restaurant. Food was good but the service this time was horrible. We had the worst waitress ever! When I asked about the drink specials, she came back told me about one drink and then said the name of the other drink, but said, "I don't know what's in it, cuz they didn't tell me."

We live a distance from Greenville, so we don't come often. We have been very satisified every time we have been to Winter Inn and it will always be one of our favorite places to eat.

We had a large party for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, our table did not get the service other tables in our party did. We got our food WELL after all the other tables. They were getting to go boxes for their leftovers before 6 out of 8 at our table were served. 2 at our table got their food and were half done before the rest of us got ours. Some of our food was cold, our table was not bussed for a long time and our drinks were not refilled very quickly. When the manager began to help our server, it did improve. Granted we did have a big party but our table was the only one that was not served well. We did use our coupon, which made it better but I would not have left the tip that was required by our coupon for the service we received. Other tables also got after dinner mints, ours did not. We like this restaurant and will return someday but this was not a good dining experience for us tonight.

The ribs are outstanding, very tender and the sauce on them is great. One of us had the sirloin steak, which was very tender and flavorful. I think I will get the steak next time I go.

the temperature was rather COLD in the dinning area. Our waitress was absent...was not helpful and never offered to refill glasses. I had to move appetizer plates out of the way when she brought out our dinner. I would have thought she would have come out and cleared away plates/flatware before bring the main course. She didn't come back after dinner was served. I had to ask for our bill. Then she wrote in LARGE print what she calculated her tip to be as if I wouldn't have left one based on the total before discount...I was VERY put off and IF I return, I will ask to NOT be placed in her area.

The food is great, the service is great and the atmosphere is very peaceful. In the dining area you don't hear loud music, but can enjoy talking to the people you are with, without the noise.

We had a graduation in Grand Rapids, so stayed at Winter Inn overnight, had our friends come from their hotel to meet us here for dinner. It was fantastic! We allenjoyed it immensely, and Amy was a great server. It was also nice to have a smaller bottom line, thanks to restaurant.com!
Pub atmosphere is nice, a bit noisy at times due to the wood walls, floors, and hard ceiling. Food is consistently very good. Great selection on the menu
Our server was less than spectacular, to be kind. She didn't check back with us often enough and was very short with her answers to our questions. She also tried to include an 18% gratuity without our permission which she did not deserve.
The food was not all that good. Service was slow. I was charged extra for things like extra dressing and extra tartar sauce (which I never been charged for in the past). It was over an hour from the time I ordered my food to the time we got our food

Winters Inn is one of our favorite local restaurants. We had a very young waitress that we've never had before. We waited for a long time for our drinks. Then everything was wrong from our drink order, food order and our bill. She never took off our coupon. We had to get one of the veteran waitress to make our bill right.
Food was good, pasta dish could have been a bit hotter. Fresh coffee, nice salad. Excellent waitress.

I ordered my encrusted prime rib rare and recd it being allmost well done. I did not complain but I would have never served it that way to anyone. Also my cousin ordered the smae thing and recd it the same. I expected more from the restaurant and was dissapointed in it.

We had a 70th Birthday party in the large room. Service was great, Ashley was a waitress and she went above and beyond. The food was good with the exception of a few baked potatoes there were dark.Overall, it was a great time. Thank you!
