Toro Loco on Washington in Portsmouth, Ohio is always excellent. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the food is delicious.

Waiter was friendly and liked to joke around. We got chips and salsa as soon as we sat down. We got good, quick service, and the food was hot and delicious.

Celebrated Cinco de Mayo here for dinner. The place was jam packed. Yard cups of margaritas packed a delicious punch. The Parrillada for three was a huge amount of food, enough to feed a dozen people. Very friendly staff. I would definitely come back!

The food was served hot. The meal was presented nicely and it was delicious. Patrons did not have to ask for refills on drinks, they were automatically brought to the table. Extra drinks were given in to go cups with no extra charge.

From the onset, i advised the clerk I had a $25 dollar restaurant.com coupon. I placed my order and the food arrived. We ordered pork spare ribs, chicken and beef ribs. All were extremely overcooked and dry. I returned all the food to the clerk and advised all was cold and dry. His response? "Oh, that was what we have leftover", we have fresh ribs and will get you some of those now". really? Why didnt you give me the fresh ribs in the first place? You are aware this is my first time, first impressions last a lifetime. Needless to say, I will never go back. That was done in poor taste.

The service this evening, Friday, August 2, 2013 was sub-standard at best. It looked as if there were only two servers and a bartender on staff and the dining room was full. I arrived and was seated at 7:07 pm. It took about twenty minutes for us to be greeted by our server, another 20 minutes for her to come back for our order and FOREVER for our food to be served. We only ordered an appetizer and two sandwiches. The service was just awful. I've dined here a few times before and never encountered this experience. I had an 8:30 pm engagement with my daughter that evening which was cancelled because we didn't even get our bill until 9:00 pm that evening. What a disappointment. The food was good but the service negated the whole experience.
