Food is great, love it, friendly staff, home cooked and homemade desserts
Great friendly service. Great food as well. The cinnamon roll is a meal by itself. WOW.
When we got in there not only were they incredibly kind, but smiling and excited to see my children. While there we were served quickly and got pancakes for the kids while me and their father were able to get lunch. It was so nice to have someone consider the entire group. I can't thank them enough for such wonderful service. They're wonderful!

It was so hot and stuffy inside. It was considerably hotter inside than outside and the air felt almost suffocating. I recommend turning on the air circulation system, or opening a window or door. I’d also like to mention that today was my daughters birthday lunch, and she chose Riverside Cafe even though she usually chooses IHOP or Island Cafe in Anacortes. When we arrived we were checked on promptly, so that was nice. I mentioned to the waitress (just like I have at every other restaurant in the past on my children’s birthday) that it was her 11th birthday today. Most places sing to the child or give a scoop of ice cream or small piece of cake. It’s not a huge deal, but it does make them feel special. :-) Anyways, when I told the waitress this information she just looked at me and walked away. Not even a “Happy Birthday!” And obviously no treat and I wasn’t going to bother bringing it up again. I just thought it was rude, and I won’t be taking my family here again, especially on kiddo birthdays! I’m telling you, not even a smile!

This restaurant serves up standard American comfort food, prepared well and served by a competent staff.
They were very busy, but our sever kept our drinks filled and checked on us often

This is not a 5* restaurant. But as a diner, it is 5*.
I love this Restaurant, and have recommended it to family & friends. It is like eating in a casual dining room. The roast turkey dinner with homemade rolls on Saturday is excellent not to mention their delicious desserts.
This was a get together of four friends who worked together and have retired. We enjoyed our get together and lunch. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. The girls were surprised to see the $10 coupon. They didn't know of restaurant.com. They do now. You'll get some business from Kim Dellingr, Donna Koper and Kathy Orndorff. Kim liked her lunch so well; she purchased one to go.
Homemade rolls were delicious as was the coconut pie. Ordered the daily special and was not happy with the ”baked steak”! Mashed potatoes were great!
Family in from Huntington, WV, enjoyed the food and service. Lana was a wonderful server, tho it was very busy, she kept out drinks filled and checked on us.
Tables looked like they had grease spots all over them even after they were wiped. My family wasn't impressed that I tried the place on our trip.

This is a small one room restaurant. Unfortunately you can hear conversations of people on phone calls or if a crying child is there. The food is always delicious though.

Good home cooked food with a friendly, casual atmosphere. The rolls could be a meal and the coconut cream pie was delicious.
Large portions, good choices and like MAMA used to cook.
WE were out of towners and felt right at home. Comfy, cozy and warm was the atmosphere and attitudes. All the food is homemade. The rolls were ginormous we ordered 3 deserts because we just couldn't pick for the variety they had. Can't wait to go back!!!!!

One of those typical hole in the wall places..if you don't know where it is you won't find it...always busy and great food. you wouldn't leave hungry.

However, they do not provide itemized checks so you may verify the cost of the meal, tax, and tip. What I thought would be a $60 meal was over $90 and no way to check it.
