Speed's is the home of the "Original Cheesesteak"! This is made the same way as it was in in 1958. It's a blend of chopped steak and onions (lot's of onions!) made in a huge amount in the morning and allowed to simmer and let the flavors mesh together all day and is served with a marinara sauce on locally made Afred and Sam Bakery rolls! American cheese is optional! This is a fantastic sandwich and is one of many that Speed's makes. Stop by for a quick lunch, or take food home for supper. Along with any of our fabulous sandwiches or subs, we have flame broiled cheeseburgers (the best in the city!), add to that hand cut fries (boardwalk style!), as well as many other sides and round out your order with a milkshake or old fashioned soda float and your meal is complete!
