This was a pick up order but I decided to get our shop Christmas dinner from here because the week before I ate here and it was soooooo good. Food was delicious and fresh. I is very important that the food be fresh to me. The ribs were great. I took some from to my 77 year old father and he said those were the best ribs he's eaten in 20 years.

Great service unique location. Menu typical for a BBQ place. Food was very good. Baked Beans were "killer" BBQ pork was good. Did not taste like Memphis BBQ due to lack of rub. Slaw was SC style but very good. Potatoe Salad was very good also.

We didn't arrive at restaurant until 8 and they closed at 9 so we were a little hesitant about what kind of service we'd get being so close to closing time. We ordered a slab of ribs, 2 pints of of sides: Mac-n-cheese, collard greens and a small side of bake beans and corn bread. In addition, our daughter had the fish basket which was huge, and our son the hamburger which was equally as huge. Our food was EXCELLENT!!!! The service was EXCELLENT!!! No one made us feel rushed. It was as if they had just opened. I usually skip surveys but couldn't wait to say job well done!!

GREAT food! I had the ribs again and they were delicious. The others had the BBQ Pork Plates and loved it! If you like collard green (which I don't)--this is the place to eat them. They raved about them. Kind of noisey. The back doot is metal and when people go in and out it slams shut and every one jumps every time. It would be nicer if they fixed it.

The staff is beyond friendly and great to my kids. They have learned what we order, and get it started when we walk in the door. The food is always cooked perfectly and is some of the best bar-b-que one can eat.

Down home BBQ downtown. The fish, catfish or talapia, is always large and fresh. The fried okra taste just like my granny's did in '78. The collards served with pancake are delicious. Everything is homemade, even the potatoe salad and dessert of the day. Good family atmosphere !

Really fair portions for the price; very friendly staff. The food, though....Nothing spectacular; nothing bad. Just a dinner out. Although it looks like much of the food is done in-house (battered, fried, not all frozen), it doesn't have a special taste. Not a lot of seasoning (except on the fries. Just edible food. If they put some kick in their batter, salted / crisped up their okra, it would be pretty good. Their fries are yummy.

Overall loved the atmosphere and the food; when arrived 5 or 6 tables being served by 1 waitress; service initially (when taking order) was slow, but friendliness abounded and the food was overall very good! Appreciated the follow up to the table by the owner or manager following our dinner....I really really hope your restaurant does well and prospers...you are doing way, way more right than wrong!! A suggestion: renewed focus on quick service in the front of the house!
