Service-excellent. Visited on Saturday, live band-excellent. Bread-two warm sandwich rolls. Dinner breads should be sliced variety breads or petite rolls. Appetizer- Calamari, no taste with bland marinara sauce. Dinner-Duck. Duck was good, but should have been carved. Veggies and potatoes-good. Stuffing-tasted spoiled, didn’t eat it. (The waitress was so nice we didn’t want to say anything). Duck was $26.00, I chose the salad that would have been good, but the honey mustard was too thick and came in a disposable cup. My husband had the corn chowder and it was very good. Atmosphere-the menu tells the history of the building, this interior would be more interesting with a period or rustic decor. We used to be regulars years ago until we walked in on a weekend and had terrible food and were told the chef quit. Decided to give it another try after not going for many years, and the food and atmosphere were disappointing.
The waitress was pleasant. The music was a nice surprise on a Thursday night!. The onion soup and prime rib were delicious However my friend had the turkey dinner and he did not like it at all. He ate very little of it but they chose to charge him for it anyway which I always think is an appropriate. We had the coupon so I didn’t want to make a fuss. He did order dessert they could’ve at least give him that for free since he missed dinner. My food rating will be based on my meal.
The service was slow. We ordered food and watched a table come in after us order and start eating before us, got there check and left while we waited. Our waitress had a large table that kept her running, and we were slightly ignored. We asked for the check and waited more than 20 min due to a credit card machine issue. We were there over 2 hours for a party of 2 that ordered med rare steak.

Live band a little too loud for a place that size. Couldn’t hear ourselves order our meals. A good band but volume could have been turned down a notch.
Nancy is a great waitress and made is very comfortable and is very attentive. The food was very good and filling.

We love Our House! The waitstaff is friendly, the food is great, the drinks are awesome and we love the Shore Bet Band! We always come when they’re playing and bring a large crowd with us! Can’t wait until next time...they were awesome tonight!!!

The server was exceptional and attentive. A live band was a welcomed surprise. The food was good but the steak knives were dull. I will go again.

Great atmosphere! Enjoyed cocktails in the bar. Dinner in the main dining room was comfortable. A band began after dinner, not too loud so we could continue our table conversations without shouting. Service was great. Dinner choices varied. We plan on going more often. Highly recommend it for an enjoyable night in the country.

The food was not good. At all. My mom and I went when they first opened at 4 pm. We had the hot antipasto for two and we both had veal marsala. The place certainly looks very nice and inviting as did the menu; however the food really left something to be desired. My recommendation is to dine elsewhere.

Our waitress didn't bother packing the hot sauce for our wings. Really? We were disappointed how little effort she could have given, yet I gave her $10 tip not knowing till next day opening our doggy bag. 2 out of 3 times in last few years trying here, food was insanely too salty. Coming from a Saltaholic, this is not good. Will not give 4th try.

The meal started out great. Appetizers were very good and the courses were coming out of the kitchen at just the right flow. I ordered a pork chop that was explained as being very thick and smothered in onions and cherry peppers. I received 2 very thin chops with no cherry peppers. I then had to wait 25 min to charge my credit card.

We were treated kindly. Different staff greeted us and asked us occasionally during meal if we were enjoying ourselves. They seemed very intent upon showing us a good time and serving us a great meal.

My date had chicken piccata which he said was kind of bland. Also his salad was mostly iceberg lettuce - not very interesting.

My husband and I have always said to ourselves the best places to eat are those hidden gems. Well this place is a hidden gem! My husband ordered the steak and it was the best looking ,best tasting steak he has ever eaten. I enjoyed shrimp scampi until every drop was gone. ( I could have licked the plate ). Bartender, Waitress AWESOME job! Chef (kiss kiss)!!!!!!!

The only reason I did not give it a "poor" was because my wife enjoyed her rack of lamb very much. I on the other hand was served baked crab stuffed flounder that was literally cooked on the top and absolutely raw on the bottom. I could not cut it with a butter knife. The rest of my ratings have to do with my dinner(s). In fairness my wife's was very good.
The waitress was very professional but the food was just okay. Fish had to be returned as it was not cooked thru. Lamb chops were good but I would not rush back to this restaurant
Food and service were excellent. Nice menu choices. Even had a litle entertainment in the form of the resident ghost. We did not see it, but a man who came in to book a party had the experience.

Our reservations were for 6:30.We had a drink at the bar and was at our table by 6:50, although the restaurant was not that crowded- the first thing we were told is that we had to share menus because the restaurant did not have enoughh... the 4 of us were given 2 menus. Was very odd for 6:50 on a Sat.Also was told nextt-they already ran out of mashed potatoes..seems like a restaurant wouldn't be "ran out " of something that early on a Saturday night. Also, everyone else said their meal was "okay"mine was not. I had the shrimp stuffed with crabmeat- something I order out often- it was so heavily peppered & salted and had chunks of raw onion on it... Very weird !We also wanted a bottle of red wine , the waitress recommended one and loved it so ordered a second and was told there was no more.. That was the only bottle of it you had( odd.. 4 people only get 1 glass we had to get something else ... Turned out it was more money and not as good) ... We stayed and had dessert and after dinner cordials because the atmosphere was quaint and we were enjoying each others company but we would'nt go go back.Just think for prime-time dinner on a Saturday.. The restaurant should've been more prepared.
My steak was a bit overcooked (medium vs. medium rare which I ordered), but the quality of the food and service was very good. However, I continue to be exasperated at servers and hostesses calling us "you guys" everywhere we go. It should be such an easy thing to correct!

Good ambiance which is why we are regulars.
First of all, there is a sign "main entrance" over the door by the parking lot and you go into a dining room - there is no one to greet you - the hostess station is by the bar (where there is a street entrance that no one uses). The first dining room was empty except for a private party in a corner, so everyone walks in and goes to the entrance of the 2nd room and stops there unsure if they will be greeted there. After a few minutes, looking in, they see the hostess station and walk to that. The hostess was either not there or sitting behind the station where no one can see her. None of the waitresses going back and forth directed people there. Unfortunately for us, we were at the table next to the hostess station and since there was no room around it, waiting customers got to check out what we were eating! When we arrived the hostess missing and the bartender got out from behind the bar and seated us (I also saw him direct other people and set up tables). It started to get a bit crowded so as people were waiting they had to set up tables in the front room.The menu choice was pretty basic, but the food was good quantity and well priced and good for the most part good (however bread in basket was stale).Our waitress was adequate, polite but not overly solicitous. We had to ask her what was for dessert.

Hearing that they just hired a new chief, we decided to go with steak dinners to be on the safe side. The steaks were so almost not eatable. This was our third time back to give them another chance, but that will be our last time there.
Not everybody has the same likes, but for me I'm not crazy about eating at Our House. I have eaten there several times and have not had a great experience.

My husband's prime rib was excellent. My crab cakes left a lot to be desired. I have had the crab cakes at this restaurant numerous times over the past several years and they have always been up to my standards which is pure crab meat with very little filler.Last night the crab cakes were nothing but filler. I couldn't even find a piece of crab meat.

Having the coupon makes you spend more than you normally would. Better off just goingthere without your coupon. Including costof coupon.
Prices were fine. I ordered veal and half the pieces were RAW and couldn't be eaten. The dessert was probably Sara Lee, not what you'd expect here!

Onion soup was slightly salty, but typically expected in Restaurants.My salmon was extremely salty, I had to scrape off the sauce which tasted like it had 2 table spoon of salt spilled in it, still was hard to swallow. 2 other dishes (steak & lobster tail) were salty too but bearable. Disappointed!

Service was very pleasant but slightly sporadic - too much time between items and then too fast. Building is quite interesting and historic - very welcoming. Food was good overall - a bit too much garlic in a couple of dishes and while the calimari was pleasantly crispy, it had very little flavor without the marinara sauce.

The food was EXCELLENT! and the price was right. You cannot find that good a food for that fair a price. The ambiance was terrific, not at all noisy. We could actually hear each other at our table.

We had a choice of soup or salad. We chose the salad and it was very tasty. We both chose the Long Island duckling as our entrée. It ranks among the best duck we have ever had. It was certainly the largest half-duck ever. It was crispy and tender on the inside. Outstanding selection.

The food was very good, but I have to say I am growing very tired of being greeted with "How are you guys doing?" and "What would you guys like to drink?" We are a senior couple, I am a mature woman, not a guy. Annoys me every time - very unprofessional. Poor training in my opinion.

advertised as an Italian restaurant but could not provide a meatball to a childs spaghetti dinner my fish was undercooked as well as my wives grouper.
While 3 out of the 4 of us enjoyed our food, the one persons soup was extremely salty, and the main course food was cold and tough.
They msde the meals exactly as we asked which was different from the menu. Very customer focused.
Not only did our steak not come out as requested, the same problem existed at other tables around us.

The atmosphere was nice, quiet soft music playing in the background. The appetizers were not bad, and the soup and salad were basically good, nothing exceptional. The entrees both were horrible, I had lamp chops, my husband had steak and lobster. The steak had a lot of gristle, and the lobster was uncooked, looked like it had been frozen. We shared a piece of cheesecake that was pretty good. To add insult to injury, the tip (for 2 people)was added to the bill!!!! Very insulting for a party of two. She would have made out better if we had tipped on our own. Even though the meal was not good, we tip according to the bill. I feel like at that point she was done with us, left the bill on the table and took off! They were also out of a lot of things on the menu.

calamari and crab cake appetizers were home made and excellent. Chilean sea bass was fresh and tasty, rack of lamb was perfectly prepared and cooked to perfection.

2 of the 6 dishes were not tatsty.sea bass was ordered and both people did not care for it. And, the portion was small while the price was NOT.A Shrimp dish came with 4 medium/small shrimp and much tooo much sauce.The Duck and the Salmon bushetta however were quite good. The Pork Chops were good but nothing special.
Checked out the menu on the restaurant's own website. When we got there the prices were a good deal higher especially wine. Menu was not new so website deception must be done intentionally.

There was one waitress who was also the bartender. She was pleasant but service was a bit slow.
The food was very good. The service, while friendly could have been a little more attentive, leaving us alone for quite a while. The main room is small and it is a little disconcerting to walk through an empty dining room (all set up but no one eating there) to get to the main tavern room. Unlike another diner, every table was filled - Saturday night at 7:30.

Menu keeps changing and we miss some of the "old" menu items. Also seems that the quality of the meat is not the same. Prime rib and steaks used to be outstanding and now mediocre.
We went for Brunch. Not alot of choices.We have been to better brunches for less money.

We enjoyed the happy hour at the table - we took our friends there because of that - then they changed it without notice.. Thought that was wrong - after offering it for so long and then to stop - there is only 4 seats at the bar... how can you have a happy hour.

we called to make a reservation and were told we didnt need to do so. when we arrived we were told we should have made a reservation and there was 2 big parties so they sat us in the 'lobby' area--right in the line of customers coming and going. and, because of the 2 large parties, we were told that they ran out of silverware and we had to wait for them to find enough for our table. overall, the food was good but we probably wont visit this establishment again.
