Our favorite restaurant and we had the rudest server !!!! Love the place but will turn around and leave if I ever have to be served by the person that served us.. The owner who normally is there is awesome but our severer was rude n entitled (strange but true) .. if u need the name of the server I still have the receipt !!!

Very friendly owner, especially to the small kids in our large group. Food is terrific, though there is no children’s menu. A mac and cheese option for little ones would be good- even the single serve cups. There are good menu choices for meat lovers and vegetarians alike.

We've eaten here a few times and the food is delicious. Nice ambiance, cozy setting in an old house, so it is a nicer atmosphere than a huge loud chain restaurant and we appreciate that. It is a bit hard to have an intimate conversation because of the small dining area, and you can hear other conversations. My veggies were over-salted, but otherwise the food was good.

Only issue was that the service was understaffed, so wait times were longer than expected. Food was outstanding as always, and was confirmed by my two guests who were visiting for the first time!

the atmosphere in there is lovely, very calming. dimly lit but not so dark you can't see your food. nicely decorated too! the food was delicious and the service was very pleasant. we showed up around 9pm and we were the only ones there. they still welcomed us with smiles and provided a pleasant dining experience. and the food was so good!

The atmosphere was the first thing we noticed: a warm, inviting space decorated with Turkish rugs and other beautiful items. Service was great; the staff worked together to insure all of our needs were met. The food was amazing. We will be going back on a regular basis from now on!

The food was amazing, again. The Bosphorous Special, a mixed grill of several of their meats, as well as their appetizer sampler, is the perfect combination for trying multiple dishes. The only complaint I have is their did not do a good job of clearing the ice from their sidewalk, it was pretty treacherous.

I took my three teenagers to Bosphorus Cafe because we were visiting Indianapolis this weekend and we had such an amazing experience! It was a Saturday and last minute and we hadn’t made reservations but the host found a way to seat us. The inside is a bit small, very quaint but as soon as I walked in I knew it was going to be authentic. The atmosphere definitely told you this is true Turkish dining and almost every table was full with patrons. We ordered the a couple appetizers, some doner gyro plates and dessert and EVERYTHING we ate was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful and all worked together on a busy Saturday to make sure all the patrons were taken care of. I would definitely recommend this particular location, thank you for the great experience!

Very tight sitting.....felt cold air on my feet most of the time..... it is winter, but they could put another door in the entrance to block the cold air. But the food was great and will go back.

The food was extremely tasty though certain ingredients like out-of-season tomatoes are always disappointing--a problem with most restaurants whose menus don't change. The service was friendly but the restaurant was woefully understaffed--one server for the whole place. We several times had to request the things we still needed and then had to wait. Not the individual server's fault necessarily, but the restaurant needs to make sure they're ready for a Saturday evening.

This is amazing food!! Start with the Appetizer Combo!! It is fantastic!! They serve plenty of bread with it. Then I had the Adana Kebab! I am a big guy and there was more than enough food! I usually get the mixed grill and always have to take some home!

Bosphorus Istanbul Cafe is my favorite restaurant in Indy. Their hummus is second to none, and the food and service are consistently excellent. I always try to introduce my out-of-town guests to this quaint restaurant, and none have been disappointed to date. In an age of chain restaurants, it's refreshing to see a family business thriving based on the quality of their service and meals. The owner only adds to the Cafe's charm, smiling and interacting with patrons, making sure that they are pleased with their dining experience.

The service is outstanding. One of the owners saw us walking in and made a comment about whether our 10 year old liked to be adventurous in eating. He came by our table later to make sure our young one did indeed enjoy his meal. Very personal touch!

I have been to Bosphorus several times and have never been disappointed. The food is terrific. Our daughter is vegetarian and they have several options of quality food that is not a typical salad or veggie burger. It is great to have a place where the differing tastes of my family can all be pleased.

The Calamari appetizer was Ok but not outstanding. The other Lamb dishes were outstanding. The bottle of Pinot Noir was delightful and a great value. I would have rated the food excellent with the exception of the Calamari.

Service was very slow - the slowest I have ever experienced here. Usually there are several waiters but on this Thursday night, there was one man and he would walk away after setting your food down before we could ask for something else. We had to wait 10 minutes sometimes for him to come out from the back room and it was very upsetting as we brought 2 guests. We have always had good service here. The food was excellent as usual.

This was our first time to try the restaurant. I took my husband for his birthday. It was cozy, clean and great service. We tried the appetizer sampler for 2 which was huge and really enjoyed trying the different foods. My husband got the lamb dish and I got the chicken kebab and both were served with salad, vegetable's and rice. We were both very pleased. I would love to know what they put on the vegetables to make them taste so good. We had the baklava for dessert which was yummy. My husband also loved the Turkish coffee. I can't wait to go back.
