My girlfriend and I loved the salad and sandwich we split. Would definitely go back for lunch and try a dinner there.
While there was nothing they could do, it was overcrowded. Told wait was 30 minutes and we waited an hour and 10 minutes. The place is small, therefore the problem.

I love the restaurant however it would be nice if they allowed reservations. It's a hit or miss when going there. I have been to similar restaurants where I could make an online reservation. This would make the experience "perfection".

The atmosphere was inviting, the service was top notch and the food...delicious. Very deceiving from the outside. Will definitely dine there again. The only problem we had was the milk was bad when we poured it in our coffee/tea, but it was replaced, as well as our drinks and all was good.

My husband loved the chicken parm and I had the pasta fagioli. Everything that we had was delicious and the service was excellent! I live in the area and know idea this restraurant existed!! We will definitly be back!!
Armando's Tuscan Grill has been our go to restaurant for many years now. The food is excellent (rigatoni sorrentino!), the servers attentive, the prices reasonable and it is a byob. What more could you ask for!
It's always chilly in the restaurant. With that being said, if that's the WORST thing, this place is great!

Slow, inattentive service for such a small place. Out of items we ordered (main reason for coming.) Son's steak was first under-cooked, then over-cooked. CHARGED FOR SELTZER REFILLS!!!

Our server did not tell us the specials although he did for other customers. Our server was told twice we were celebrating my birthday (including as we were ordering dessert). My dessert came out w/no candle in it. Another customer was celebrating her bday as well & she got the candle & ppl singing happy birthday to her. We went to this restaurant to celebrate my bday when there was NO celebrating. Restaurant was overpriced for mediocre food. We have no intention of returning to this restaurant.
It is a very small restaurant, but quaint. The food is always amazing, and service is good. They are somewhat limited in beverages available, but all in all one of the best Italian we have had

Food was excellent. The service was quick and friendly. Did not feel rushed and left feeling satisfied and relaxed.
According to the menu shown on restaurant.com, Armando's Grill menu shows no meal higher than $12.00. This turns out to be untrue. There are no meals under $17.00. The food quality was OK. I could get the same or better quality food at "Greco's" about 1 block west on Westwood Ave at around half the price and their air condition is probably working. Probably not going there again.
Service is attentive. The chef is very good and solid. Food is consistently good.

Server was very attentive to us. Brought over markers and paper to keep our toddler occupied. Kept refilling the bread basket upon our requests.

we arrived about 5pm and were put at a small table for 2 which was right by the kitchen walkway. I thought I would get banged in the head when food was being carted out from kitchen to dining room.I find they are a bit over priced especially on the specials. They beet salad special wasn't anything to rave about ande was about $15.00( not a value)Service was very nice and the rest of the meal was good. Not going back much because a bit pricey and/or crowded

The food and service at Armando's is very good, but something should be done about the cold air that rushes into the restaurant when the door is opened and the weather is cold. Apparently the town do not allow anything to be erected outside, but a simple u shaped rod could be put up with heavy curtains on it in the winter months. This could be placed on the inside and taken down when the weather gets warmer. If you are seated right by the door it is even worse. I feel that I will only go there when the weather is warmer from now on as the restaurant is small, but the solution could be easily fixed.

Armando's is a rare gem found in River Vale NJ. The BYOB place has a friendly atmosphere and the food delicious. Whethere you are looking for yummy pizza or a Salmon special, the execution is the same. Perfection! Highly recommended!

Food, service & ambiance were excellent! The rating is only "good" due to cheap bread served. Charge $2.00 more & serve the good Italian bread that belongs with good food.
