I was charged extra for ordering broccoli with my meal instead of pasta. I never paid extra before, and the waitress never mentioned that it would cost extra when I ordered.

it took quite a long time to get our food. Usually that is because they want you to buy a lot of alcoholic drinks first, but had water and coffee.

Time being waited on and food delivery was pretty good tonight.
Have been here several times. Restaurant is quite dated, but always clean and nicely decorated for the various holidays throughout the year. We particularly enjoy the beautiful fireplace on cold evenings. We dined here recently on a cold Thursday winter a few days before Christmas. Disappointed to find that the fireplace, which we had told our friends about, was not in use. We were told that it is only used on Fri, Sat, and Sun. The restaurant was packed. A warm fire would have been nice, since the room was on the chilly side. Although disappointed about that, our dinners were all quite good and the service was excellent.

There were only a handful of people... Waited 90 minutes for our meal... We were there last month and the place was pretty hopping and we didn't wait that long... Not sure if they were short staffed or what.. although our waitress Amy was great...and apologetic for the wait. . Food was good.

We rediscovered Blu Tavern after several years (for a birthday celebration)--the service was friendly and accommodating, food delicious and prepared well, and drink selection was great. I chose "1 time per year" above because we'll be back again sooner than later.
Good food and good service at a good price
Just love the appetizers--chicken lettuce wraps, gyoza, spring rolls. My husband loves the mango shrimp and I have gotten the teriyaki steak which has fresh veggies with it.

The food is ALWAYS fresh and well prepared. The chief's will carefully take note of how you wish your meats to be done and will have you try a small piece so you'll know if it's how you like it or if it needs more cooking time. Overall, friendly staff and caring service

When we were first seated and received our menus the waitress did not give us not even 2 minutes of looking at the menu before asking us what did we want to order in a rudely manner. When we told her we needed a couple minutes she stood there making us very uncomfortable. When we ordered our food she asked us what did we want to drink we got our drinks and never got a refill. The food had no flavor whatsoever it was very bland and when the checks were given to us the waitress had asked for her tip before we were done paying making our experience very akward and again uncomfortable.
Service was very slow. We waited 30 minutes to get our first drink! It was not very crowded! It took one hour and 30 minutes for our meal to arrive. We were very close to leaving. It was also EXTREMELY loud in the dining room, which wasn’t the fault of the restaurant.

Went for a special occasion our 31st wedding anniversary so I ordered seafood my husband a 14oz steak and it was a 14oz! All food done superbly.

The waiter was not helpful at all only when the bill came and he reminded me of the original price (which he included the tax) for his tip. Would NEVER go there again or recommend. We were part of a small wedding party. The room was cold and we had to ask to turn the heat up. We waited 1 1/2 hours (some 2 hr.) for our food. Our waitress did not attended us like we needed. There were other problems.

Service and food were very good. Only downside was the wait time. Granted we did have a large party of 11,but waiting almost 90 minutes was a bit too long. Especially since we had several children in our group.

AIR CONDITIONING DUCT WORK HAD DROPLETS OF WATER COMING DOWN ON ME AND SOME FOLKS WITH ME. TABLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MOVED OVER A BIT BUT WAS NOT MOVED.

Crab was our theme this trip. I had the broiled Maryland Crab cakes they were fill with jumbo lump crab meat and tasty light filling I enjoyed them. My Beau and his Mom both had Deviled Crab cakes and they were very creamy and had good flavor, not overly spiced and fried in clean oil. They provided a good portion.

All i can say is get the price FIRST for surf n turf. The filet was 28 which was listed but surf n turf with same filet was extra 25.00!!!!!! for 5oz lobster tail..was told market price but i looked it up and maine lobster tail for 4-5 oz was 7.00. I did not expect that..
this restaurant needs a few more waiters. It took close to an hour to get any food (bread and butter). My friend said service is always very slow. I went up to the hostess and told her to tell our waitress we were ready to order after waiting for 15minutes. she did come within 5 minutes.

Arrived at 5 pm to a fairly empty dining room. Although we had a large party we did not order food that would have been difficult. It took over an hour and fifteen (1:15) to come out. All the waitress kept asking was if we wanted more drinks. The manger won't even do anything to compensate us for our LONG wait

Updated menu prices are preferred. Crock of onion soup and bowl of soup were listed at $4.95 but we were charged $5.95 each. Just a suggestion...

They were short on servers and half the tables were reserved for 2 large parties. Three parties that came in after me had to stand and wait for a dirty table to be cleared for them.
We were very pleased with our meals, and our waitress was extremely attentive. We've gone to the Sunday Buffet and it our favorite.
They order my meal 3 times. wasnt cooked to my preference and waited over 1 hr for my meal without explaining why the wait. WILL NEVER go there again

We both said it was the best meal we have had in a very long time! The interior was nice but the sign outside needs upgrade and repair. If I were driving by looking for a nice place to eat, I would not have stopped because of the ugly sign. I would have been so wrong.

Restaurant unprepared to handle large crowd - had to wait 35 minutes for server to take our order. Two tables of two each who entered after us were waited on and served before our order was taken. Once given, though, service was good. Food was very good. I doubt we will return in the near future because of our experience.

I have been dining at Massari's Blu Tavern for many years. My parents took me there when I was a child. I always receive excellent service. My favorite dish is the Anit Pasta Salad. There are many other excellent choices but I always lean to the salad. I will continue to patronize this establishment.
