They didn’t have air conditioning so it was very hot (after a 100 degree day) Abd all the tables around arrived after us and left a good 20 min score our sushi rolls were finally delivered. Felt like using the coupon jinxed me?

Sorry in advance for poor review. We tried the spring rolls, sushi, and pan fried ramen noodles. Only the sushi was good, but at $17 for the 1 roll it was quite pricy for what we got. Didn't take the leftovers home, and for me that's saying something.

Sunomono salad, cucumber and seaweed, was very refreshing. Sushi, both Tony the Tiger and Victoria's Secret, were perfect both in presentation and taste. We think that the Victoria's Secret is the most inventive sushi we've tried and would be interesting to see if the trend of rice-less sushi will spread.

It was hard to get waitress's attention. She avoided looking up when walking around so we couldn't catch her eye. Needed to work hard to get her to come to our table to order more sushi, order another drink, and ask for more wasabi.

My partner and I went to celebrate birthdays....we thought the waitress was taking too much time tallying the check, but she was waiting for the kitchen staff to prepare (2) green tea ice creams for our birthdays......very special treat!

The long time server is the nicest person in town. She is so sweet and makes us feel very welcome every time we come in. Also, she always points out there is fish in the miso to us vegetarians - very thoughtful. Plus the food is great.

Tables for 2 were VERY close together, so my husband, 6'3" & 240 lbs., was tucked in closely with the gentleman who subsequently came to the restaurant and was seated at the table just behind us. The food was very tasty and fresh...very important in this cuisine. Wait staff was very friendly, somewhat attentive.

I was a little disappointed that we had to keep adding to the bill to equal $50 - thought the deal had been for a $35 minimum, - so my mistake,but then the takeout I got was a little disappointing. Had we all gone and just paid for the lunch (we had to buy dinner to get the deal) we would have spent the same - I would have spent less because I had to buy takeout to make up the difference. So not a reflection on the restaurant so much as a disappointment with the program.

We had a most amazing meal. We always enjoy our trips to Jojo's... and this one was to celebrate six years since my husband and I had our first date... here at this same restaurant! The food was amazing, the servers were kind and attentive as always, and the talented sushi chef (we elected to sit at the bar to watch his magic) did not disappoint. We finished our delicious meal with a "chef's choice" sushi that my husband described as the best thing he ever put in his mouth. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. You guys are always so nice and we love your food! It feels like family here, they take excellent care of us. Thanks again!

Absolutely wonderful dinner! My husband commented that it was one of the best dinners he's ever had. We had our first date here 6 years ago, and it is one of our favorite places to go. Unfortunately, the economy has hit our family hard and we can no longer afford to eat out very often, maybe a few times a year as a special treat. This restaurant.com certificate I received (when I purchased some contacts online recently) allowed us to enjoy a lovely dinner within our budget. The spicy scallop with tobigo on the chef's special board was soooooooo yummy, I could have eaten a whole plate of them! Excellent food and service. Thanks again.

Tempura was only ok, portion small. Not a good variety of vegetables. Rainbow roll was excellent. Nigiri sushi/CA roll dinner okay, lots of CA roll. Individual sushi uni and scallop VERY fresh and cold = EXCELLENT. Salmon eggs not a lot of flavor.

While I thought the restaurant was good, the fact that you have to spend $50, and that does not include alcoholic beverages, seemed a little ridiculous. I don't know if I would go there again based on that. There are so many good sushi restaurants in the area with better prices.

I had wanted to try Jojo's for some time. Friendly, fast getting our food to us, very attentive if we needed anything. FRESH, which is so important for Sushi. Small dining room so it is quieter. Popular, always a very good sign! Prices reasonable, on the high end, but not too high. We could have had dinner for $40 for the 3 of us, but it was a special occasion and we were very pleased. You will like Jojo's!

This was our 2nd visit to Jo-Jo's. When we want sushi, this is the place we will go. The prices are reasonable and the food is as good as any I have had in the Bay Area.

Service wasn't as good as usual. Rattling sound (dish?) behind register was quite loud and disruptive. We still love JoJos and will continue to come but have been feeling lately that it isn't as good as when we started coming 4 yrs ago. Quality of fish not quite as high.

It took us 15 minutes for a waiter/waitress to come up and even offer us water. After we finally ordered, we waited 45 minutes to get our food! Although the waitress tried to ameliorate the situation by offering us radishes and miso soup, I don't know why we couldn't have received at least one of our rolls in the interim. We waited without knowing when our food would be coming. The place was busy, but not busy enough to wait that long. Food was good, but I've had better for the prices they offered. I don't think we'll be back.

Hikuni does all you can eat sushi for $15.95/ person. I like Jojo's but that is a much better deal even with the restaurant.com cerificate. Altought I do really like the strawberries at the end.
