Huge portion on Lg combo of enchiladas and Chili Rellenos...delicious tho a bit pricey compared to other locals ! Wait staff attentive and pleasant...Patrons rather loud most likely because of crowded seating in the evening hours as we left as it was filling up and large bunches of people were maneuvering trying to get seated and put belongings about. We will return for lunch next week !!

waitress mentioned since I was using a certificate I shouldn't ask for any 'favors'. She never asked if I wanted more water or chips. She was anxious to get me out of the place, and it wasn't busy. The food was overpriced, so you don't save a lot using a certificate.

It was solid; nice atmosphere. Solid margarita; cheap tequila; drink a glass of water between them. Disagreed with reviews about their gauc; was nice, not $9 worth, but it was tasty. Combo plates are what you think, quick, easy solid. Carne burrito was disappointing. I would go back though.

Service was just so-so. there was a make employee that appeared to be off duty and was waiting at the back station. His pants were sagging so low he had to waddle to walk! Do what you want after your shift, however when you are in the restaurant the staff reflects upon it. We will continue to go as we have for many, many years. We were just saddened to see things service wise go a little downhill.

The chicken soup hadn't one scrap of chicken in it. The plates were so hot none of us could pick up our tacos. I used my knife as a spatula and found that the heat had wilted my lettuce, making the taco less than desirable.

Never have been a fan of the cheese enchilada- tried it again- tastes like velveeta. Salsa was too hot for the secong time in a row- Both Shredded and ground beef tacos were too salty- We all like spice- i eat raw jalapenos regularly and an occasional raw habanero- You need to know this as our family has decided we won't be back- due to the spice

We made dinner reservations. When we sat down, we had to wait 15 minutes just to get bread that we had to ask for. It took one and a half hours to get the food, not acceptable, We saw that there was a big party next door. If the kithcen was so backed up, they never should have taken the reservation. We were regular customers and we brought all our friends and family. Now we will have to think twice.

The waitress' attitude, the way she talk to customers were very bad! Bad service! I asked for a bigger box to go, but she demanded that small tiny box is big enough for my enchilada. I said it does not fit, it's too big for the tiny box. Then she said, "It's big enough. Do you want me to show you how to put it?" I said, "No, I will just fold it." I came home with a tiny box with full of messy enchilada.My son ordered burritos. They are small, not stuffed, no vegetables, just a little bit of meat.We should have got burritos at La Cumbre or other places in San Mateo.When I paid, the waitress did not say thank you. I asked for a receipt, she said, "it's here!"I will never ever go there again, nor recommend to my friends.

Waiters did not come by often enough to check on drinks. Also the restrictions only stated "Minimum 2 entrees. Valid for Food ONLY. Parties of 2 or more." We ordered at least 2 entrees and there were more than 2 in our party. One of our entrees was the daily special, which was $2 off the normal price. When we got the check, the waitress said that she would have to charge us the full price of the special if we wanted to use the restaurant.com voucher. I thought that was odd, since the restrictions don't clearly state that the voucher can't be applied with the daily special.

This place has a great neighborhood feel to it and I had a nice group of regulars in the bar. The bartender was great, but sadly they used processed Velvetta-type cheese! Appalling for an "authentic" Mexican restaurant - and it tasted terrible. I could not even finish it. Too bad because it could be a great place.
