Loved the welcoming atmosphere. Fresh flowers on each table. The food was fabulous.The service top notch! The dinner rolls were so good!

amazing service and food
This little downtown gem is pretty amazing. The concept of helping out the community is commendable, but the food is always a star! I ordered two sandwich plates and could easily have fed 4 people. The Rosemary shortbread was so good, I may have to go back and get more to take home.

Excellent food with some bonuses-like comp rosemary rolls with butter or evoo to nibble while waiting for ordered food. good service and fun art-filled décor in a great space.

I come here in a wish to feel like Anthony Bourdain but without all his camaraderie. I always order like a seasoned pig. After glazed salmon, meatloaf, tortellini, bowls of chowder and asparagus have washed down in the ambiance of new art displayed on every wall, I literally need to break before putting down the chocolate cake. The hard part is walking out in a straight line...
Had lobster salad. We are sure it was imitation. Soup was good. Rolls decent. Environment good. Staff was a bit indifferent. Counter order and food brought out to table.
We go there whenever we're downtown. The people do there very best to please and the food is excellent and unusual and good. Service is great with much attention.

The only reason I don't give an excellent, they were Sold Out of my favorite items.The bill was $35 higher due to the art work I purchased. Love it.

We love the food, the service, and the employment training mission of Cafe 54. We just wish they could do something to improve the acoustics so that it's easier to hear each other.
I love the place... but my burger was unforgivably rare (despite being ordered medium).
I work downtown and am trying to find time to get out for lunch more often. The certificate and a participating restaurant gives me more reason. : )
this places was very clean, very tastey and supports a good cause. We loved it.
They didn't have salmon which is what we came for. The food was good but I don't care for ordering at a counter. Prices are reasonable.

they ran out of feta and stuff for Greek salad, didn't mark it on board, gave her something completely different, without asking her. I have been many times, and this was the worst the food and the service has been.
