The restaurant was clean and pleasant, clearly a place where locals stop for lunch and to visit. One half was a bar/tavern area, the other half had dining tables, with cash register and small deli case containing local cheeses and meats inbetween. We really enjoyed our food. My husband ordered the burger special and curly fries. I ordered a grilled ham and swiss sandwich on marbled rye, thick-cut onion rings, and salad bar. The offerings on the salad bar were very fresh and good, in particular the beautiful, dark green lettuce (no iceberg in sight!) Fries and rings were hot and crisp and the grilled sandwich, piled high with ham, was done perfectly. The burger was great as well, topped with a tasty relish of veggies and avocado, and served on a nicely toasted bun. Our server was friendly and efficient. We'll definitely go back if we're in the area again.
