I ordered two beef specials plus two hot dogs and cheese fries. After the order was complete, I realized the price seemed high. I questioned it and the cashier said you can't use the Restaurant.com with specials although that is not stated on the certificate. Additionally, the cashier never notified me until after I questioned the cost. I wouldn't have ordered drinks and would have made other adjustments to the order.

Fries were overcooked or old. Combo was nothing special. Hotdogs were ok.
Scooby's is a great hotdog stand in the long Chicago tradition. I always get their dog w/everything. This means mustard, relish, onion, tomato and pickle spear. I usually add sport peppers. I often add a tamale. their vanilla shakes are also VERY good.
The french fries were double cooked and very hot -- wonderful. The Chicago hotdogs were dressed on a bun steamed to perfection. The shakes were thick and tasted of genuine milk and ice cream. The tamale was hot (temperature) and in the traditional hotdog-stand style. Overall, exactly the experience a Hotdog Stand should deliver.
Great food. Fun casual atmosphere. Outside seatoing.
Loved the decor, small inside but cute, music a bit loud
The hotdogs were thrown together really quick. Unwraped the wax paper and the buns were all soaked and falling apart. The large fries were a little overcooked and way over priced at $4.99 for a large thats like a large at McDonald's. They advertise a 44 ounce shake on a huge sign on the outside of the building for $1.99 it does not say you have to buy anything or not valid with any other offers. When I wanted to order one they said I couldn't get it at that price because I was using a restaurant.com certificate. I asked how much then and he said $10.00 so I didn't buy one. Very very expensive 5 hotdogs and 1 large (really small) fry $23.00. Wow Portillos 100 times better and much less money. I wanted the shake for $1.99 so my wife went thru the drive thru and got it without having to buy anything else. My suggestion if you want a huge good shake for 2 bucks go to Scoobys. But eat elsewhere so you can save the money and use to send your kids to college.
