Wow! This place has the most amazing food. The food is made to order so it takes awhile to get it after placing your order but it is worth it. Make sure you make a reservation We had the penne Rigate and Penne Matriciana. Jessica, our waitress was very helpful and friendly.
Gnocci were excellent! We did take out.
Great service and food! I went when it was quiet so I was seated quickly. Nice atmosphere.
Service was slow and servers not very pleasant, though they were gracious enough to accommodate an extra person in our party.
I rated my experience as neutral due to the fact they didn’t have a dish that was on the specials menu.
Wonderful service. Wonderful atmosphere. Wonderful food.
1 waiter for 5 tables. I had to get his attention after 20 minutes to place our order. Then I had to ask someone for our check after waiting 10 minutes after we were done eating.
Food is always delicious. We like that we can bring our own wine.
We had tickets to an 8 p.m. concert and allowed 2 hours for dinner -- service was much too slow. We got water promptly but were there for almost 1/2 hour before bread basket finally showed up. About 20 minutes after we finished appetizers with no sign of our waitress, we had to flag down another employee to inquire about our entrees, which took another ~1/2 hour to arrive. Also had to wait for refills on water. Staff was polite and food was superb, but we had to skip dessert and didn't get our bill until after our concert started (we were rather late). I'd definitely eat here again, just not when I have to be anywhere else afterwards.
I have dined here twice and have a wonderful time. Great service and food! Parking can be a challenge. I liked the interior and outdoor seating available. I recommend this restaurant.

Fabulous food, requests accomodated, and BYOB for wine with only a $6.98 corkage fee! Did I mention fabulous food?
The waitress we had on Saturday was fantastic. Very fast service. My husband said the piccata made life worth living.
The food was excellent. However, they could use more waitresses. Saw one the whole time we were there.

Great atmosphere, delicious food and friendly service
Excellent food and quiet atmosphere at a slow pace. Great for a romantic date! It is BYOB or wine though so come prepared (and don't be scared off by the $5 corkage fee).

Quaint little place. NOT noisy. From past experience, we knew to bring a bottle of wine. Had an app while we waited for our "made from scratch" dinner. My wife said it was the best Bolognese ever. Friendly attentive staff. Our server, Jackie, was great.
Great food' Like the idea of bringing in our own drinks.

Great service and food! Even though I didn't have a reservation, I was seated and never rushed.
correction to previous review...wait time for food was one and a half hours, not 45 minutes...45 minutes was for bread brought out to tide us over until meals came out

We waited over 45 minutes to receive our food even though the restaurant was not overly busy. It was a Thursday evening. On recommendation of our server I tried chicken marsala...the dish was swimming in a brown liquid that was so sweet it was like eating maple syrup...almost inedible. Two other members of our group had a scallop and pasta dish with a cream sauce in which they were very disappointed. The fourth group member had eggplant parmesean which she said was very good. Two of the diners had been to the restaurant previously but said they were very disapppointed in the experience and would not return. Two diners were visiting for the first time and were very disapppointed with the food and excessive wait time for their food. We expected far better service and food for the money we paid.
Personal attention and food cooked to order - yes it takes time, but the end result is worth the wait!
The waitress was very nice & friendly. She was efficient and very helpful answering our questions. The food is fantastic! I had Penne Regate with a Putanesca Sauce. It was done to perfection.
Friendly service and always excellent, authentic Italian food!
Nice little Italian restaurant. Food was excellent. Just a perfect meal !
A little too long to get food, We were told that it would take time because everything is made to order, but almost 1 hour was a little too much.
Great food and friendly staff make for a fine dining experience
Delicious, beautifully presented food. It is the no-rush atmosphere we love and really appreciate the fair pricing. It is our favorite dining experience. Feel like we are in Italy! Thank you :)
Our waiter was very nice. The restaurant ambiance is wonderful. It feels like you're in Italy! The food was excellent. We are looking forward to going back.
Shrimp scampi equals boxed pasta small shrimp sauce from a jar
The food is fabulous, always. The staff is attentive and the prices are so reasonable. I look forward to my next visit. Anthony's eggplant is the best I have ever had.
Quaint dining rooms and excellent service. The area of town is not great, but still mostly safe.
All handmade to order!!
Very good service, Very good food and the atmosphere is excellent, very relaxing. You cannot be in a hurry because all the food is made to order but worth it.
Excellent food, be patient on food delivery, everything is homemade.
Love this place. So cozy.
Friendly service and delicious food.
From start to finish - this was fabulous! Service, food, - everything! Wished we lived closer to go more often.
Although it is in an undesirable neighborhood, the restaurant was cozy and the food was outstanding! Love the BYOB concept as well :-)
We obviously enjoy using our restaurant.com coupon, but we go to Mangia because their food is EXCELLENT and the waitstaff are great: friendly and knowledgeable.
We had a great meal, an attentive waiter and the atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. The food was delicious!
Quaint Italian setting. The food is cooked to order so plan on a leisurely dinner. All of our meals there have always been excellent. We also like that its BYOB.
The food was excellent. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was wonderful. Cannot say enough great things about this place.
I loved everything about it! Waitress was wonderful, the food was amazing.I loved that we got to bring the wine I love and not have to find something that might taste good. I loved that I could take my time and just talk to the people I was with. We never felt rushed.I highly recommend this restaurant!
Waitresses didn't pay much attention to us.
It's a small place with one chef so it takes a long time to get your food on a Saturday night. I would suggest going another night when it's not as busy.
Friendly staff and excellent food/service. Couldn't ask for a better eating experience.
Bad location with very little on street parking. The Menu was limited. But service was excellent. Was skeptical about the wait time after reading about the long waits for food, but this was a slow night. We have gone 3 times before and not been able to get in.
The chicken masala was excellent!
I really enjoyed seeing the changes that were made to the new addition. Howeve , the service was very slow.
Great food; attentive reason; knowledgeable about the menu.
Ray and I love Manja! The food is perfectly cooked to order. So the time you may wait is well worth it. The service is always spot on. And you should try the lemonchello tiramisu to top it all off. Yummy!
It was a very cold night and a lot of the tables are were the draft from the door comes in, i feel if they put a heater in the entryway it may help.
Food was delicious! Quaint little place. Server was a wonderful Italian woman.
Food is Delicious!!! Server was great!! Area & parking are not so good, but it's worth visiting.
We love going to Mangia where food is always wonderful and always have an excellent time. This evening there was a large party that happened to bring a noise maker and whistle to their dinner and felt the need to use them. This was very disturbing to others dining at the same time.
Mangia is the best Italian Restaurant ever! It is my favorite for a relaxed and totally delicious dining experience. They are happy to make dishes that are not on the menu - they are the best!
Great atmosphere-quaint and clean.Great food-seemed made from scratch.
Food excellent but for the first time experienced discourteous service by Emilia. No bread until end of meal and had to ask for it. Never returned to see how we were doing during meal. Had to track her down and when she finally came over was very rude and disinterested. Very poor service. Please correct this issue as I have recommended your restaurant to many people and want to continue to do so.
Took a long time for food. Reservation at 6:45 , dinner at about 8:30. Luckily we were in no hurry. We were enjoying our company. So if not in a rush, this place is wonderful!
Casual dining, great food and service.
Loved the intimate atmosphere; friendly service; and food was wonderful!
Food made to order and well worth a minimal extra wait.
Food was great. Can't wait to go back and invite friends.
excellent food and wait staff
Food was excellent. Full of flavor. Quaint decor although the exterior does not do the restaurant justice. This place is a diamond in the rough.
The food and service were excellent and the portions were large. We'll go back!
very good food, nice decor
Our entrees were served two hours after we were seated. Great food, but a long wait for it. The restaurant has expanded since our last visit. Perhaps the kitchen hasn’t caught up yet. We will happily come back and try again.
Surprised that they had added another room. Makes for much more pleasurable roomy dining.
great entertainment, food and service
WE had reservations for 5:15. Wine opened and bread served immediately. One hour and fifteen minutes later our food arrived.Unacceptable wait time.
Server is plesant, but unorganized and forgets a number of items.
Excellent food, attentive waitstaff, beautiful restaurant!
food was excellent, service attentive, prices reasonable and atmosphere warm and inviting. I live this place. One of my new FAVORITES!!! Ray Desrochers
We weren't too sure how this restaurant would be because of the area it's in and how the area looks outside but once we went in we found it very nice clean and well kept. The young lady who waited on us was excellent and the food was really good and to our satisfaction. The words "Don't judge a book by it's cover" came very clear.
The place is quaint but in a poorly developed end of ELM st and is surprisingly very well set up inside with great food and service. It is a BYOB establishment which was a surprise. And they have expanded to accomodate more customers which seems to be working well.
I ordered a dish not on their menu and they had no problem making it. The Alfredo sauce was made with egg yolks and I could taste them a lot which was different than I expected but still good. Took a while to get our entrees but they gave us bread and the salad came quickly.
Fish always wonderful
Superb Italian Food in a comfortable atmosphere
Great halibut, great service
quality never changes always perfect
The food is amazing and made to order. It is full of flavor and the experience is like being back in Italy or at least in the North End of Boston. It's fantastic.
Some of the best Italian food ever. It was great and we will return (often)!
the food was mouth watering and well worth the wait! I love when chief cook to order!
Relaxing.... take your time and enjoy atmosphere. Great food. Fantastic service! A quaint home away from home cooked meal!! Love it!
Don't let the location fool you. Yes, it looks small, but the taste is large! Excellent sauce, great service...
Great fresh fish!
Nice small restaurant. Quiet and comfortable.
Small cozy dining with excellent food cooked to order, and you can bring your own wine .
This is our favorite restaurant. Tonight was my husbands birthday and he didn't want to go anywhere else.We would love to go more often but are on a fixef income.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great food. A casual, friendly environment. Some of the diners started conversations with each other--it was very enjoyable.
Very cozy restaurant. The food was excellent and the service good.
so delicious!
The atmosphere was great and the servers were attentive but not intrusive.
my meal wasn't good. I ordered off the menu so that may have been a factor.
It's a small, hidden-away type gem. Server and owner/chef were very friendly and accommodating.
Amanda was great! So personable & funny! You don't find great service anymore... It makes the experience. Amanda was top notch... Loved her! Food was fantastic! Will definitely be back!!It was a little cold in the restaurant.
Very good food and very good service.
I had a $10.00 certificate that was on the table, but I forgot to mention to our waiter - my loss. I assume that's how you have my email, as I paid in cash. We enjoyed everything!
WE love your restaurant. Food is awesome and service was great. Love the fact we can bring our own wine :)
The best alfredo sauce I've ever had!!!
WE LOVED THE SAUCE WHICH WAS WITH THE RAVIOLI. THE SERVER WAS VERY NICE AND ATTENTIVE.
Food was amazing!!
We eate outside, since it's right on a main street it's a little bit loud. Instead of just ropeing the patio off little bushes could serve as a barrier and would break the noise a little.

The ambiance was very nice. Cozy. Like a place in Little Italy. The food was decent. The traditional bruschetta was good. My friend loved her ravioli in pink sauce. My eggplant parmesan (a benchmark dish when trying a new Italian restaurant) was OK.Things that made the experience disappointing (for me):1) They charged more for the eggplant parm than for the chicken! I have never eaten it anywhere when it has cost more than the chicken. It wasn't on the menu but the waitress made such a point of saying that the chef will make anything off the menu if he has the ingredients, I ordered it. When I saw the price on the bill I questioned the waitress (chef's wife) and she simply said, "Eggplant's expensive!" My bad that I didn't ask first. Lesson learned: Always ask how much something will cost first before ordering.2) They serve bread (which is very good) with no olive oil or butter. It's dry. I asked for some olive oil to dip it in. The waitress said, "Oh, dipping sauce?" Without telling us there was an extra charge she brought out a little dish of oil and balsamic vinegar with spices. It was good, but not outstanding. We were charged $3.95 for this, but they did deduct it when I said we were never told about the extra cost(and it was not listed on the menu either, that I recall).3) This is a BYOB establishment but they charge $3.95 for every bottle, whether they uncork it for you or not. Drinker beware. So that's my list of peeves. I wouldn't have ordered the eggplant or the dipping sauce if I'd known it was extra because neither was exceptional enough to warrant it. Now I know about the per bottle charge. I wonder if they'd charge me if I brought my own olive oil for the bread!
I love the ambience and new location and enjoy the overall dining experience (bring your own wine, etc) at Mangia's but my meal (which I order all the time) veal valipocella seems to have been less than satisfactory the last 3 times ordered (December, April and now August). Smaller portions and less asparagus/ham/cheese than I what I recall from the old Hooksett days. The shrimp scampi that my companion ordered was fair -- not very garlicky, etc. I will continue to visit and will try ordering something different.
Great service and food
food was and is always excellent. Service is fair to poor.
as usual food was excellent
Great food great atmosphere. Knowledgable wait staff
excellent food but don't be in a rush
Food was terrific, most important to me.
We were served the wrong meal and service was very slow. We had to ask for salads after our meal was served.
We both had veal parmesan, which was very tender. There was plenty of sauce on top. A sweet sauce like my mother used to make. The waitress was wonderful. Attentive, but not in your face. Just right !!!
Italian music nice touch, but all the same instrumental style, and definitely too loud.Draft from front door noticeable; does someone monitor the temperature in the restaurant's "front room"?
We had to keep our coats around our shoulders because it was too cool in the restaurant.
Food and service excellent. Atmosphere pleasant, nice decor, quiet enough to enjoy conversation. Drawback, wasn't heated well enough, had to wear jackets while we ate.
EXCELLENT FOOD......
Great Italian sauces
The food was excellent. Service wasn't rushed but was attentive. Quaint atmosphere. Very nice :)
Food came to the table hot and perfectly prepared. The server was very informed and assisted us in making delicious choices. I love the fact that you can "customize" your meal to really whatever your preferences are. We cannot wait to return!
It's TINY, only 7 or 8 tables. My son, who had been there before warned me that it is an "event" that lasts hours. We arrived at 6:30; it was close to an hour later when we rec'd our meals. Fortunately, it's a bring-your-own-wine, so we had drinks, and a bread basket did come about a 1/2 hour in. My tortellini dish was superb, but the chicken marsala had a really brown and not-so-tasty sauce. The service was delightful. It was, indeed, a 2 1/2hr. event.
This is homemade food prepared when ordered. Don't come if you are in a hurry. This is dining and not fast food. We chose a late lunch and it felt as though we had a private chef. Food is ample portions of quality ingredients. We shared a Euro style hot chocolate for desert.....Squisito!
The food and service were great! The atmosphere was nice and cozy!
Never have had a bad experience there. The service is great abnd the food is excellent.
Food was great. Jamie is a wonderful wait staff!
Always enjoy excellent food at Mangia. My veal dish was not on the menu - but the chef prepared what I wanted. I do this frequently when there - definitely can't do this at other restaurants.
Best Italian Restaurant in Manchester...best in New Hampshire!
They have the best veal parm ever
GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE
great food! Friendly atmosphere
Food is always excellent. Hope your new location works out for you.
Love this place...a hidden gem in Manchester!
Love the food!!
The food is consistently excellent. Try the hot spinach salad!
Superb food, nice waitress!
Great little Italian Resturamt that just needs added wait staff to be really excellent. Good service but a bit slow.
This was the best Italian meal I can remember. My husband also really enjoyed his meal.
Better than expected. Cooked to order, worth the wait.
What a wonderful place. I would highly recommend it to anyone loving a quiet place with excellent food.
Would have enjoyed a full service bar; also the time between Ordering & being served was about a half hour but there were only 2 tables being served. Otherwise, the server was pleasant & food delicious.
Food was excellent, service was average, ambiance is dated and the temperature in the restaurant was cold. Every time someone came in the door it became very cold. It is time for the owner to move to a new location that will accommodate a restaurant. The great food is easy to overlook with the outdated ambiance.
Bought 2 certificates. Have only used one. Not worth going back.
EXCELLENT!!!! We even had our rehearsal dinner there!
Chef/Owner was a delight - Food was excellent, excellent!
everything was perfect--love the quiet slow pace not a place to go if you are in a rush but you want to be able to relax and talk and enjoy your meal this is the place for you
always a pleasant experiemce; great food & service
Chairs were very uncomfortable. Sauce was watery. Very expensive for the small size portions.
Excellent food, wonderful waitress! What more could one want of a restaurant??
