This is the third time I have tried Kanela. We were the only people at the restaurant that ordered food and we waited over thirty minutes for two salads. Never going back. We gave them three chances... Every time has been disappointing :(

Great team, great owner, great staff, great food, great salsas/condiments/nachos... (FYI, regarding your server question further below, there are no servers... customers seat themselves and order at the counter). Great staff there who aim to please the customer, including helping with the TV channel selection, etc. when needed.

All is great there. The owner, managers, staff, etc. The chips, salsas, fixin's, etc. are great. They make everything the way you specify. Food is superb. I only wish there were some larger cups at the fixins bar for salsa, onions, etc. It is a great place though (both locations).

All good food and staff/food at both restaurants (Chantilly and Centreville) are great. Also, regarding the Restaurant.com coupons, I would go to El Fresco with or without the Restaurant.com coupons, but the coupons are nice to have.

Getting a server took longer. I had to asked for water & coffee from somebody else than our waiter. When I got the coffee the server just put the coffee on the table w/o asking if I needed cream. I had to asked for cream & a spoon from somebody else. Finally someone came over to say that he was our server. Placed my food order with a different server than the one that introduced himself.

We were sat right next to the server station and could see into the kitchen, so definitely not the best seats in the house. The food was good overall. Except my smoothie was room temperature and the roasted potatoes were definitely over-seasoned. My friend loved his blueberry pancakes and the people next to us got French toast, which looked very good.

Every single item I ate was fantastic. From the Fried Egg sandwich, to the perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes, to the extra thick bacon on the side and the housemade sausage patties. I will definitely return soon.

Happy with the food...waiter need to be mind full of others who are eating when they are cleaning the table..they just spray the table directly without concern of the mist that can spread to the other table..I mean you can spray your cleaner to the rag then wipe the table...I don't want any chemical on my food.

My initial thought was it seemed pricey for breakfast but the food was so outstanding it didnt matter and the service even better if possible! Tony was our waiter and he was funny, fast and made our experience the best I have had at breakfast in a long time. Only suggestion would be to have crayons and paper for when kids come in.

The food was amazing. We had the red velvet french toast & the eggs Benedict. The staff was very nice. It was pretty loud in there though & service was just a little slow, because it was packed (Sunday afternoon). But will definitely go again.

Real plus in add. to magnetic waiter was free no-hassle parking lot on non-Cubs Day! Commented while sitting down that rest. rem'd me of "Orange" to which my meal partner said it had been here!

It would be nice if the menu was a little more informative. For example chocolate lovers, etc. The meal I had was good, but was very chocolatey and wouldn't have ordered it if I knew it was that sugary. It was more like a dessert than a breakfast choice. It was very good, but very sweet. It would've been nice if the juice drinks had refills.

Phil our waiter great! Very personable and friendly! Food was delicious. oj was awesome. saw another patron complaining about the freon dripping into her food from the air conditioner over her table, so you may want to get that fixed ASAP. We are excited to eat there again!
