Very good I would say. Better than good for sure. Portions are plentiful. Chips and salsas are wonderful as is their pozole chicken soup!!!!

Super cute, cozy storefront with great service and delicious, somewhat creative Mexican dishes. The pozole was amazing (the spicy chicken version definitely had a kick, but not an overwhelming one); the black bean tacos and the enchiladas (chicken and chorizo versions) were delicious.

Mexican food for Foodies. Very clean and fresh food unlike typical Mexican restaurants. You leave satisfied without feeling stuffed. Try the enchiladas with mango salsa - sweet and savory. The soup has a great kick but not overheated.

Estrella Negra has really good music, food and drinks. Love the art work. If I was the cook,I'd change the bean dip to black beans, they have more flavor than regular refried. The tippy tables along the west wall should be fixed; large folks will have difficulty getting into the booths due to the super fat table leg; the busier it gets, the less the one waitstaff pays attention to you. Just go with the flow.

Estrella Negra is such an enjoyable experience. I absolutely LOVE this place. Out of all the restaurant.com coupons I've bought this is one I will get over and over again. Its BYOB and they have free Wi-Fi. The decor is really nice. It's so much better looking than any of the other restaurants I've tried from this site. Try their Pozole!

The food is just straight up amazing. Veg or meat dish, you can't go wrong. Service is fantastic, no pressure, never hovering over you yet never felt like we had to track down.

we thought the empanada, tamale and enchiladas were innovative and delicious with fresh bold ingredients. the apple empanada dessert was superb. my 12 and 14 year old boys loved the food.

Absolutely amazing! The owner (I presume) was our server and he was very helpful. We had no trouble using our restaurant.com coupon. I have been to other restaurants where they would sneer when I would hand them to the server, but not here. The food was delicious to boot!!! Loved it!! Can't wait to go back for the chicken pozole soup and tamales. Oh and the smoothies! Maybe I should try something else next time eh haha!

I can't wait for my second, third and forth trip back. Great service and good choices on menu. It was great to see veg, alternatives to traditional meat dishes and the green tea horatcha was to die for. Excuse the spelling on the drink.

First off, BYOB! That's enough to get you to at least try it once. However, what's shocking is that I was in complete bliss by the time I left. When you walk in it is definitely not going to give you the feeling that they are going to produce an above average meal. However, everything we had was excellent. We both had the goat cheese enchillates for out entree, for dessert, we shared a pistachio ice cream, and appetizer was corn nachos. Hands-down, the nachos were among the best I've ever had. We left completely stuffed, but it was totally worth it. This will be a repeat restaurant for sure.

Delicious modern Latin-influenced cuisine, attentive, friendly service, fun decor, and great prices! Most entrees are $10 or so. The sweet potato fries and empanadas were the best I've ever had.

Our experience was great from start to finish. Most importantly the food was delicious!!! We didn't leave any behind. We decided to order a few plates and split them like tapas. Very tasty and highly recommend.

The portions were tiny, the food was fair, and the server was great. If that works for you great, but I was expecting more authentic Mexican flavors- good for gringos I guess as that was all that were there besides my mexican friends who came with me

We wanted to try a new place and picked Estrella Negra. We liked our dining experience and definitely will go back. Our waiter was nice and the atmosphere was nice. We will make sure that we recommend Estrella Negra.
