This is a great little spot in Lowell. I had a latte to go and also bought a pound of Nicaraguan coffee. Both excellent!
The service was pleasant however my food took awhile and should have been started after I ordered- The place was empty .

Really liked the sandwich and loved the refills on coffee
I had their Curious George which I founded menu on restaurant.com and I tried it it was excellent small little coffee shop but awesome food!
They only had 1 bagel left so both my husband and I couldn't get bagels.
My first visit was on Friday, June 15. I had an Egg, Cheese & Sausage on an English Muffin because they ran out of Croissants. It was delicious, plentiful in egg and sausage. So good, I went back today, Saturday 6/16. Again, they ran out of croissants. Clerk said they run out of croissants every day sometimes by 8:30 am (why don't they just buy more croissants?) Different story today--I bought TWO (2)egg,cheese & sausages: THE EGG BARELY COVERED HALF THE SANDWICHES. Not sure if I'll go back. Also, the food prep area was not the most appealing or appetizing site--the pitcher of raw eggs was sitting on the prep area UNREFRIGERATED and encrusted with dried egg all over it.
did take out - salad was awesome!
It's a great locale with quick service. Comfortable couches while waiting and seating throughout.
Awesome food and iced coffee! Even better staff!
To be honest, we just pick up drinks. Did not stay to dine. This should be a Not Applicable selection, so I end up putting 4 start instard of 5 because I did not sit down to eat.
casual place and good food reasonably priced as well.
great salad
Two fresh sandwiches really hit the spot today for lunch. Kind of small/crowded in there, but cozy.
I felt the cashier was agervated when she realized that I was paying with a certificate.
It was a very nostalgic atmosphere and very pleasant. The staff was very pleasant and smiling. A very relaxed and laid back kind of place.
Brew'd Awakening is a great little indie coffee shop in a historic city. Even though there are 6 other coffee shops around, they remain in my top 2 list of coffee shops.
Best decaf iced coffee around
Friendly, fast service and a fun atmosphere
Great salad And iced chai latte!
Delicious and varied food/beverages, great staff!
Too small but pleasant workers. My salad left much to be desired.
This is a great place with great atmosphere.
Great sandwich
Food is great although prices not always easily determined or written on the chalk board. Servers pleasant but spend so much time chatting to with other that orders sometimes have to be repeated.
Charming place, like being in a coffeehouse in the '60s in NY. The entertainment was fabulous - singing duo Karen & Chris Payne-Taylor!
servers more interested in talking to each other than to the customers
Great food
Sandwich listed under "Pressed Sandwiches", she said it was only available as a wrap..."easier to eat"
good service, fresh food made to order, nice healthy selections.
Place was very dirty.
Food was good, service was friendly, mood was relaxed but the restaurant needs a good update & wash. I think part of the countertop was being held together with ducktup. I like the local feel & the local event flyers. I had no idea there were a few things offered nearby that I will definitely check out.
Great casual place.
I am on crutches with a major knee injury. The owner Andy brought my order to a couch that I was sitting at. Since I come here regularly. He has turned it into a handicap seating area for me.
Loud, busy place.
Great place.
Great coffee and sandwich. Great atmosphere with free wifi.Local artists displayed on walls. Live Music on Sat. Afternoons.
Great place with great music.
The staff were friendly and made a good recommendation for an herbal tea
good food, quick service
Great little place.
delicious sandwiches, friendly staff, pleasant outdoor seating!
I think the staff is very friendly. The seating units are not comfortable.
This is a really cool place that takes me back to the 60's when I was a flower child. I enjoy seeing the young people that this place attracts and I like that they play music from my teen years.
service, food was great and the atmosphere . the tables and chairs could be cleaner
Eggs were microwaved, no point getting a bagel sandwich because the bagels are big and the egg is about the size of a half dollar. Coffee tasted awful. I was charged $2.20 for an English muffin with butter. Awful experience and we will not be returning.
Brew'd Awakenings is a community gathering spot. Whether it is for local poetry slams, open mike nights, Saturday afternoon musical performances. Local artist showings Pretty much anything can be found at Brew'd. Great selections of coffee, teas or award winning hot chocolate. Salads and sandwiches are great.
I like the place
Look forward to a delish latte and yummy 'brunch' almost every Sunday morning. Great to stop in for a treat when in the area too.
Sweet employees. Funky space. Fresh food!
Excellent food, personable staff, chill atmosphere.
we go there regularly (2-3x/week)
I live close by, walking a few hundred feet!
The bagel sandwiches were so fresh and stuffed! And what a surprise to have live music! The kids said the hot chocolate was the best they ever had!
i was happy they took the restaurant.com app on my iphone. it was their first time. great service and great food.
we always enjoy going to brew'd awakening! It's like going to "Cheers" or that "Friends" coffehouse!
Food a little too salty
I received a gift certificate, used it, and decided to go back because I enjoyed the food there.
The atmosphere was cozy and the food was very good. My only complaint is that a dog was allowed inside an eating establishment.
I work in the area.
I live near Brew'd Awakening. It is very convenient and nice atmosphere. Food has always been good!
Go there frequently for coffee, first time for food. Nice small menu, different. Crepe was good, but needed a bit more time on the pan. Really enjoy going there.
smokers smoke right by the enterance door letting all the smoke get into the tiny space inside. cold AC + fan made it uncomfortable. Small portions.
Best coffee shop in downtown Lowell! April and Andy rule!
Brew'd Awakening was a great experience for my whole family. All the coffees tasted great, as did the food, and the prices were very fair. Both people working were very pleasant and helpful. All in all, this was a great visit. We will surely return and recommend this spot to our friends!
I am addicted to a particular breakfast sandwich they have (The Abraham) smoked salmon, capers, tomato, onion and cream cheese on a bagel for $6. A huge piece of smoked salmon that hangs over the bagel. Not too mention excellent coffees that are all certified fair trade.
Thanks for introducing us to great restaurants!
The food was delicious and the atmosphere is very hip.
love this place!
